Governance/Administration/Fiscal:
This is what I have doe so far>>>>sorry if it is not what I was supposed to do>>>
Governance/Administration/Fiscal:
Tuition rate: Tuition for distance education courses and programs will be assessed in accordance with university per-credit hour fee scales as applied to all on-campus university programs, including the application of fees in accordance with students' eligibility, or ineligibility, for in-state tuition rates, scholarships, and approved fee discounts and waivers.
Technology fee: Students participating in programs, or parts or versions of programs, offering all courses via distance education will be assessed a "distance program technology fee" as quantified in the current university catalog; this fee will be an assessed in addition to the "student technology fee" included as part of all students' registration fees. Individual distance education courses, will not be assessed a specific, separate technology fee beyond that included as part of all students' registration fees, when registration for those individual courses does not constitute participation in a "distance program".
FTE: Full Time Equivalent credit hours for individual distance education and hybrid courses, and courses included in “distance programs” offering all associated course requirements via distance education, will be determined by the inclusion of equivalent* curricular content, objectives and assignments to similar or congruent on-campus courses offered at the university. Credit hours and FTE will not be dependant on spent in synchronous contact with the professor.
* Based on the concepts included in “Equivalency Theory”: Simonson, Schlosser & Hanson (1999). Theory and distance education: A new discussion. The American Journal of Distance Education (13, 1).
Administration cost: The cost of the administration of distance education courses will be budgeted through the collection of “distance program fees” and designated university budget allocations. These fees will be allocated to cover the cost of equipment, materials and technology personnel associated with the development and delivery of distance courses.
Space:
· Students registered for hybrid and distance education courses will have regular access to on-campus computing labs during posted hours.
· Faculty teaching hybrid and distance education courses will have the right to scheduled sessions in technology learner labs for periodic face-to-face instruction, but will not be required to do so.
· Faculty teaching hybrid and distance education courses will have access to course development resources housed in the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) lab, in addition to office computers and/or laptops provided by the university.
· Servers housing course management software and disk storage space allocated to faculty and students will reside in the Center for Information Technology (CIT), and will be maintained by designated CIT technology staff.
Staffing:
· Severs housing course management software and disk storage space allocated to faculty and students will be maintained by designated CIT technology staff.
· The CTL will employ technology support staff to assist in the development of graphics, streaming video and other media components for distance education courses.

Jon, I am offering this as an example of what can be done. The broken link above...entitled "Left-aligned column" (which now points to my hard drive) would be a link to the web site where each file would be posted for the reviewing of its format. The text will appear directly on the blog screen (just as the text from the example appears above)...without formatting. We could then offer comments on both format and text within the same thread of comments.
OR>>>the link could be posted as a separate post from the text post...then we could comment on each separately...
You guys let e know which is best...
PS...I am just using the "Blog This" feature of the free google tool bar for Internet Explorer http://toolbar.google.com/ ...this allows one to automatically add any highlighted text from an html page to a blog post....but that is neither here nor there...
Let me know if you all think this will work for us...

On this site I have added a hidden comment feature...it may be easier to navigate without it for such a short task as this one.
